About Dr. Dorian Swystun

Born and raised in Saskatoon, Dr. Swystun has a large extended family in the area. He enjoys the great outdoors and loves hunting, fishing and spending family time with his wife and two children.

Intrigued by chiropractic’s holistic approach, Dr. Swystun made the decision to become a natural healer. He had always wanted to serve people and was interested in providing an option to drugs or surgery.

Dr. Swystun earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There, he was fortunate to meet several mentors. Among their teachings were the principles and philosophy of chiropractic, giving Dr. Swystun a strong foundation to use in practice.

Passionate about continuing education, Dr. Swystun explores ongoing avenues of personal and professional development in an effort to improve his patients’ care. He is Advanced Proficiency rated in Activator Methods®, the chiropractic technique used at Freedom Chiropractic.

What can I expect on my first visit?

When you arrive, our examination technician will greet you with a smile and show you around the office. You can fill out your paperwork in a private setting, and then we will discuss your history and what has brought you in. During your examination we perform a muscle scan to measure the electrical activity of your spinal muscles. The scan technology we use is a painless and non-invasive way of evaluating spinal health, utilizing well-established electrocardiogram technology with the MyoVision scanner. Dr. Swystun will then relate his findings to you, explaining the cause of your problems and how he thinks we can help you. You will get our best recommendations for a series of treatments. If you choose to begin, you will receive a chiropractic adjustment during your first visit.

How long can I expect to be there for my first visit?

You can expect to be there 45 minutes to 1 hour.

How much will it cost?

An initial visit will be $70. Any following visits will be $45 or $40 for those 18 and under.
